X-Cops is a band that is a side project of one of the coolest bands ever, GWAR. They are also a concept band of sorts, as all the songs pertain to...you guessed it, cops. The music is straight forward hardcore that's simple and catchy. The lyrics are brutal/funny stories with topics like "Paddy Wagon Rape" and "Cavity Search": you know, good old fashion Tipper stuff. As is often the case with things that have instant appeal, I'm not so sure about the long term playability of this CD, as some of the songs tend to get old, but it is good stuff, we'll see how it goes. As always, I'll keep you posted if I change my mind. | |
